The Canadian Women’s Club has a long history of charitable work in the UK.

The CWC Veterans’ Support Committee (VSC) was established after the Second World War to help Canadian servicemen from both World Wars who took their discharge in the UK. In 1967, we launched the Canadian Centennial Scholarship Fund. Candidates go through a rigorous selection process consisting of both written submission and personal interview. They are chosen not only on the basis of academic excellence but also on their ability to represent Canada in a positive light within the UK academic community.

To manage both these charitable activities, the CWC founded the Maple Leaf Trust, a UK registered charity, that has taken on many additional objectives and is now undoubtedly the premier charity of the Canadian community in the UK. The CWC is very proud of its history with the Maple Leaf Trust and we endeavour to support it whenever possible.
